DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh University students made a powerful statement on Friday through their remarkable wall painting event. Under the awareness campaign “Nari Hinkha Protirudh” (Women Against Violence), organized in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the students from the Centre for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication, Dibrugarh University, painted the walls of MDKG College and Kanoi Commerce College with meaningful messages.
This event, supported by Growwell Educators and Jo Sag (DU Canteen), aimed to raise awareness about violence against women and promote gender equality. The students’ artistic expressions served as a visual representation of their commitment to ending violence and empowering women. The day witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers, who joined forces to transform the walls of MDKG College and Kanoi Commerce College into powerful canvases of empowerment. Each stroke of the brush carried a message of solidarity, resilience, and the urgent need for change. The event was a testament to the collective spirit of the students and their dedication to making a positive impact. It served as a reminder that by working together, we can create a society that is safe, inclusive, and free from violence.
