MORIGAON: Morigaon Zila Gramya Puthibharal Santha and Guwahati Ganasewa Samiti organized a meeting at Hariabil village under Kushtali Gaon Panchayat to discuss about social co-existence, normal environment, child and maternal health, livestock protection, community sanitation, transparency, rural livelihood development. The awareness meeting was chaired by local village chief Madhurya Mohan Patar and it was inaugurated by Dr Priyanka Bania, Circle Officer, Bhuragaon Revenue Circle. The meeting was held in the presence of officers of line departments of the district in the backward village inhabited by tribal people and it was moderated by GS of MZGPS Baladev Nath.
The awareness meeting was attended by Lahrighat Zonal Health Centre Medical Officer Dr Chitraranjan Haldar, Dr Dikshita Deka, Lahrighat Agriculture Sub-Division Officer Mehdi Ari Hussain, Public Health Technical Department Field Officer Iddis Ali, Silk Department Manager Ganesh Pathak, and others. They briefed the people about the departmental schemes. They also urged the people to cooperate fully in all the schemes undertaken by the government to protect the health of children, mothers and the general public and to maintain environmental balance.
