Assam: Bhalukdubi Durga Puja Committee wins Goalpara’s best immersion rally award

GOALPARA,: The Bhalukdubi Durga Puja Committee near the Goalpara Civil Hospital has won the best immersion rally award for their disciplined rally during this year’s idol immersion ceremony while maintaining decorum and grandeur.

“We have chosen three Puja pandals —first is Bhalukdubi, Nepali Mandir is second and Chandariapathar Milannagar is third - on the basis of several criteria fixed by the Central Durga Puja committee, Goalpara for the participants in the immersion rally,” informed an office bearer of the central committee. On the other hand, Lachitnagar and Shantinagar have been selected for encouragement awards. Sanjay Rabha, treasurer of the Bhalukdubi Durga Puja Committee, expressed joy at this achievement and thanked all the well-wishers and participants.
