Assam: Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti committee formed

DIBRUGARH: A meeting of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti (BISS) Assam was held at DHSK College, which was attended by DHSK principal Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia and Dr. Mukul Bora at DHSK College on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Dwijen Borthakur, senior historian of the state and prahari of Dibrugarh district. Borthakur emphasised the preservation of Indian history and its ancient culture. A new BISS committee was formed with Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia and Biniti Gogoi as president and general secretary, respectively. Dr. Banti Phukan as vice president and Jyoti Prasad Phukan as assistant secretary. Sachidananda Das as treasurer and Puja Battacharjee as organising secretary. Sumitra Chakraborty as publicity secretary. The other members of the committee are Miku Saikia, Parchyuja Chutiya, Debanga Gohain, Karishma GK Baishonabi, Haripriya Bora, Somyadeep Dutta, Guntan Gogoi, and Madhurima Saikia.
