Assam: Birth anniversary of Falgunanda concludes in Sonitpur

JAMUGURIHAT: The 139th birth anniversary of Mahaguru Falgunanda organized by the Sonitpur district Kirat Dharma Sahitya Utthan Sangha in collaboration with Lokra branch of the organization was held with a two-day programme at Labarghari, Lokra. It concluded on Tuesday. The first day programme began with hoisting of the institutional flag, smriti tarpan in the morning. The open session was held with Kharga Bahadur Subba in the chair. Chhatraman Subba and Gyan Bahadur Chetry released two books ‘Chesmi’ and ‘Kirat Darpan’ respectively. The second day programme covered the folk culture of the Kirats and cultural and traditional food display. The two-day programme was attended by Mrinal Talukdar, ZPC member along with the dignitaries and representatives and office bearers of the organization.
