Assam: BJP Organises Janasabha in Numaligarh

NUMALIGARH: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Parth has announced a Janasabha in the Purabongla public playground located in the Sarupathar constituency of the Golaghat district of the state.

As a part of the celebration to mark the completion of 9 years of the central government, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been organising a Janasampark Abhiyan across the state. A large number of people belonging to the ten legislative assembly constituencies falling under the Koliabor Lok Sabha constituency took part in this event.

This step has been taken in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections that the due next year and dominate the region in the same. Several key members of the party attended this meeting, including Union Minister for Shipping and Waterways Sarabanda Sonowal, Assam Minister of Finance Ajanta Neog, Rajya Sabha Member Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia, President of Bharatiya Janata Party Golaghat Debpradeep Bora, President of Bharatiya Janata Party Kaliabor Anil Saikia.

Meanwhile, BJP President J.P. Nadda late on Friday arrived in Tripura on a two-day visit and would address a public rally on Saturday on the occasion of nine years of the NDA government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, state party President Rajib Bhattacharjee, RS member and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, and former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma welcomed Nadda at the MBB airport.

Bhattacharjee said that Nadda would address a public gathering at Santir Bazar in southern Tripura. "The rally is a part of the BJP's month-long (May 30 to June 30) campaign to highlight the Modi government's success and vision in nine years," he told the media. Saha later tweeted: "Welcomed National President of BJP Shri J P Nadda Ji at MBB Airport, Agartala. Tomorrow he will be addressing Rally on the occasion of the completion of 9 years of Seva by Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji."
