Assam: Chain Of Cylinder Blasts In Kahilipara Area

GUWAHATI: After a home fire broke out early on Saturday in the Kahilipara neighbourhood of Guwahati, tensions persisted. The incident was reported from a residence in Jotia that was close to a gas station.

The problem was made worse, according to sources, when at least three cylinders also exploded as a result of the fire. According to sources, the fire completely destroyed a portion of the house, and the origin of the fire has not yet been determined.

Firefighters arrived on the site shortly after and, after battling for an hour, were able to put out the extraordinary fire. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, according to reports.

Earlier, a terribly enormous fire tragically completely destroyed one house in Juria, Assam's Nagaon district. The fire that started on Thursday night entirely damaged the house that Fakaruddin Ahmed owned in Poromaibheti.

Ahmed's house and many other priceless possessions were burnt to ashes in the roaring fire. The fire is said to have started because of a lit candle. Despite this, no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the occurrence. Firefighters were made aware of the situation and quickly arrived on the site. They put out the fire after making significant effort.

Numerous fire occurrences have been reported in various parts of Assam, including Guwahati. A study from Fire and Emergency Services states that 3,231 fire incidents occurred in Assam between January 2022 and November 2022.

Property worth over 129.5 crore was damaged in the accidents. The survey found that 399 crore rupees' worth of property was saved by the fire and rescue services.

While there have been 16 fire-related fatalities in Assam over the previous 10 months, a woman died in a huge fire last year in the Bhangagarh hill area of Guwahati. Several residences were burned to the ground during the incident. After a protracted battle, the fire was extinguished by fire crews and other rescue workers.
