Assam CM Himanta Biswa Rubbishes Land Grabbing Allegations Against His Wife, Son

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma rubbished the land grabbing allegations against his wife and son.

The Chief Minister stated the media which had claimed to unearth land grabbing scandal by his wife and son are leftist media.

"The Wire is a leftist media. So, nobody paid attention to them," he added. He also asked to fight with him, not with his wife and son or daughter. "If anyone wishes to fight they should target me, not my wife and son or daughter. Some always keep their eyes on my wife," he fumed.

Earlier, The Wire and a local media portal claimed that they unearthed a massive land scandal by the Chief Minister's wife and son.

The two groups' claims generated speculations among some sections of people in the state. However, Chief Minister Sarma downplayed the allegations.
