GUWAHATI: In
a bid to achieve the 100 percent vaccination in Assam, the chief minister of
the state Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated a Vaccination Centre
at ISBT, Betkuchi.
According to reports the centre would help to cover the vaccination of uncovered inter-district and inter-state passengers.
During the programme the chief minister also launched 15 Mobile Vaccination Van by flagging off for 6 different districts of Assam.

also applauded the works of the employees of the health department including
the ANM nurses and other workers engaged with vaccination.
He also asked the health officials to intensify the vaccination drive across the state to complete the first dose of vaccination within 30th October this year.
Along with CM Sarma, Health Minister Keshav Mahanta, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal, Chairman, ASTC Ashok Bhattarai and other senior officers of the health department were present in the occasion.
People residing in different areas will have better access to vaccines now through this initiative enhancing the nationwide vaccination drive.
Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Wednesday, said Durga Puja would be celebrated in the state following Covid protocols. Durga Puja, which is the biggest festival of Bengalis, starts on October 11. The four-day fest will conclude on October 15. Last year too, various restrictions were imposed across the state during the festive occasion by the government in view of the pandemic situation.
