Taking on twitter, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also announced that, “Tech enabled ICU is a powerful way to augment critical health care in remote areas and SAVE precious lives in emergencies.

Today, we dedicated this facility to the people across 23 district hospitals in Assam.”

Speaking at the event, he also said that, “Today is a significant day for the state's healthcare system. Today, as a significant step towards enhancing health services in the state, the ICU project, cutting-edge laboratory at Guwahati Medical College Hospital, and multifunctional research project were officially dedicated to the public.”

On the other hand, according to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the state will spend at least Rs 20,000 crore to renovate 2,000 public schools. The state government has built 18 "Adarsha Vidyalayas" that would follow the CBSE curriculum and offer English-language instruction.

19 schools have also been established by the government in the tea garden regions. On Monday, these schools were officially opened.

The Chief Minister added that these Adarsha Vidyalayas would have cutting-edge classrooms with science labs, computer labs, libraries, and other amenities. Additionally, these schools will be equipped with "Project Child," which will promote kids' mental as well as physical growth.

Meanwhile, on June 25, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused former Congress President Dev Kant Barooah of defending the terrible Emergency enforced in India in 1975 by saying, "Indira is India & India is Indira." While aware that political figures from Assam and other regions of the country were incarcerated, Sarma contended that Barooah's remarks were an effort to hide Indira Gandhi's corruption.
