DHEMAJI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday laid the foundation stones for a total of 20 projects amounting to more than Rs. 1220 crores in Assam's Dhemaji district.
The projects were announced as part of 'Fortnight for Development' scheme launched by the CM on December 15.
CM Sarma tweeted, "As part of our 'A Fortnight for Development' initiative, inaugurated, performed bhumi pujan & laid foundation stones for 20 projects worth Rs 1220.21 cr in Dhemaji district."
Some of the projects for which foundation stones were laid by CM Sarma are:
Dhemaji Medical College and Hospital with a projected cost of Rs 605.24 crores
Integrated Dhemaji DC Office costing Rs 49.89 crores
District Sports Stadium Complex at Deuribil, with a cost of Rs 50.53 Crores
Rajiv Gandhi Mini Stadium at Silapathar, costing Rs 12.36 crores
Upgradation of ITI and Polytechnic with a cost of Rs 5.03 crore
Dhakuakhana Butikur via Telijan Road road of 32.67 km with an outlay of Rs 273.50 crores
Amguri (Lutachur) to Sissikalghar 7.45 km road on northern embankment of Brahmaputra- Rs 19.76 crores
Road from Dhemaji Railway Station Feeder Road from Thana Tiniali to Adikolia via Kankobasti, Shantipur and Jamuguri Panchali 5.50 km—cost of Rs 13.47 crores
Upgrade of road from Akajan Likabali Road via Gainadi to Nilakh including RCC bridge of 480 mtr- Rs 49.49 crores
33/11 KV power sub- station at Mechaki, Jairampur, Gali and Butikur—Rs 43.87 crores
Sissikalghar to Deurighat 7.3 km road on embankment—Rs 18.68 Crores
Sonarigaon to Dijmur road construction Bhumipujan –Rs 30.79 crores
Dhemaji Karichuk tiniali to Engineerring college new road of 7.8 km – Rs 10 crores
Khilikhaguri to lakhipathar new road inauguration, which cost Rs 8.75 crores
New 33/11 KV Sub-station at Balijan---Rs 8.66 Crores
The programme was also attended by guardian minister Sanjay Kishan, education minister Ranoj Pegu, health minister Keshab Mahanta, Lakhimpur LS MP Pradhan Barua, Jonai MLA Bhuban Pegu and other dignitaries.
