As a part of the expansion of the airport and to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles to and from the airport, a new 6-lane road will be constructed connecting Dharapur Chariali to the airport. An on-air rotary will also be constructed to ensure the smooth movement of the vehicles in the region.

Multiple locations in the city will receive flyovers in the coming year, as mentioned in the announcement. Some of them include the Bharalumukh Flyover, ABC Flyover, Downtown Flyover, Fatashil Read, Birubari to Lal Ganesh on Lokhra road with access to the ACA cricket stadium and RBI to Bamunimaidam with an on-air rotary.

A ropeway project has also been announced for the Kamakhya Temple and an elevated road from Maligaon to Kamakhya via Pandu. Rotaries will also be constructed at Bhootnath and Machkhowa. Another key project announced is the construction of a Ring Road in Guwahati which will ensure that the vehicles bypassing Guwahati do not get stuck in the traffic.
