Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal announces jobs to 20 lakh youths

Guwahati: During the foundation stone laying ceremony of Jogighopa Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Jogighopa on Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced that a total of twenty lakh youths will get jobs in the upcoming project.

Assam CM tweeted, "With the coming of Multimodal Logistics Park in Jogighopa, 20 lakh youths will get job opportunities and a new dimension of trade in #Northeast will open up: CM."

The Rs.693.97 crore multi-modal logistic park will be developed under the ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojna and will provide direct connectivity through air, road, rail and waterways to the people.

Meanwhile, Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of Jogighopa Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) in the Jogighopa area, Bongaigaon through an online video conference.

Along with Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Union Ministers Jitendra Singh, V K Singh, and other officials were present in the ceremony.
