Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal leads the state in paying homage to Sudhakantha, Arunachal CM pays homage too

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led the state in paying rich tribute to the legendary music maestro Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on his 9th death anniversary.

Chief Minister Sonowal paid his tribute to the Bard of Brahmaputra at his Samadhi Kshetra in Jalukbari near here and tweeted for the maestro. Agriculture minister Atul Bora and minister for culture Naba Doley accompanied the CM.

In his tweet, the Chief Minister mentioned a few lines from one of Dr Hazarika's popular song - 'Sagar Sangomot Koto Nasaturilo…' and paid heartfelt tribute to the Bard.

Minister Sarma too quoted a few lines from another of Dr Hazarika's memorable songs – 'Mor Gan Hauk…' to pay homage to Dr Hazarika.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu paid "humble tribute to music maestro and filmmaker…." through her tweet.

Union minister for Sports, Kiren Rijiju fondly remembered the ties that Dr Hazarika shared with Arunachal Pradesh and mentioned it in her Tweeter handle.
