Guwahati:
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday paid tribute to the
martyred jawan late Haradhan Roy, who made the supreme sacrifice at the Line of
Control (LOC) during the Pakistani firing in Jammu and Kashmir on November 13,
2020.
CM Sonowal visited Bilasipara in Dhuburi, where he paid
tribute to the Assam braveheart and offered ex-gratia of ₹20
lakh on behalf of the Government of Assam to his family members.
CM Sonowal took to Twitter and said, the supreme sacrifice of Roy will be etched in our memories forever and his valour & patriotism will inspire generations to serve the nation.
Roy was killed during a ceasefire violation by Pakistani terrorists at the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir on November 13, 2020. Along with Roy, five other Army soldiers were killed in the clash.
