Assam Congress spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi tests Covid-19 positive

Guwahati: Spokesperson and Chairman of Right to Information (RTI) of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Kamal Kumar Medhi on Wednesday tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus.

As per reports, Medhi has been admitted to the COVID-19 hospital in Guwahati's Sonapur for his treatment.

This follows former CM and Veteran Congress leader Tarun Gogoi announcing that he had also contracted the virus. Gogoi was subsequently admitted to the GMCH in Guwahati.

The CM Gogoi has also urged people who had come in contact with him over the past few days to get tested.
