Assam: Cotton University Student Goes Missing, Police Initiates Search

GUWAHATI: A Cotton University first-year high school student went missing on Thursday night. The missing student has been identified as Surya Narayan Das. 

The student, a Dhemaji native, allegedly left his hostel, Maffizzudin Ahmed Hazarika Chatra Nivas, and disappeared as he was walking back to his dorm.

The student's family reported the student missing to the Latasil Police Station, and based on that complaint, the police launched their search.

In the meantime, the family has asked that everyone please get in touch with them at (601) 368-9214 if they discover his location.

Another young person vanished from the Panikhaiti area of Guwahati earlier today.

The young man, who was identified as Mintu Rajbhar, went fishing before going missing.

Locals began looking for him after he vanished after discovering his clothes and polo lying next to the Brahmaputra River.

A 26-year-old lady was apparently reported missing from Guwahati's downtown area on February 1st, 2023. 

Her family members claim that when they were all asleep, the girl vanished from her home. They claimed that when they tried to call her on the phone, it was switched off.

Parbin Sultana was recognised as the missing woman.

The family members reported her missing to the Dispur police station after making repeated fruitless attempts to find her.Dispur police reacted quickly after this and are currently making an effort to find the missing woman.

A horrifying and episode came to light from Assam’s Sonitpur district, where five youths lost their lives in a car accident. The gruesome accident occured at Sonitpur’s Balipara area on 24th of February, Friday.

As per the latest reports, the youths were travelling in a Swift Dzire and following the incident, all of them died on spot. The deceased victims has been identified as Dipen Bora, Bidyut Nath, Akashdeep Bora, Bhaikon Patangiya and Biswajit Saikia.

The accident occurred as a result of loss in control of the vehicle. As per source, the car skidded into a ditch beside the road. The victims were travelling from Balipara and approaching towards Tezpur when the accident took place.
