Assam: Cow lifter held in Sivasagar district

GAURISAGAR: ln an operation led by Officer in-charge of Gaurisagar PS, Biswajit Duwari on Monday morning nabbed a cow lifter near by Namdang village, 1 km away from Gaurisagar Police station in Sivasagar district. According to police sources, during patrolling hours, based on information, police held a cow lifter who was identified Joynuluddin of Samaguri in Nogaon district. Another theft fled away taking opportunity of darkness. Police seized a vehicle Renault Triber bearing registration No AS01 FQ 3627. A case No 21/23 has been registered at Gaurisagar Police station under IPC Animal Cruelty Act 11(1) A.
