Assam: Dacoits loot gold ornaments from a lady teacher

NAGAON: A gang of dacoits looted cash, bank ATM card and gold ornaments worth several lakh rupees from a lady teacher who lives almost alone at Morikolong Seuj Nagar early on Friday morning.

Sources claimed that when the lady teacher opened her front door early this morning, an unidentified miscreant suddenly picked her up and immediately took her to a room with another miscreant equipped with arms where both the unidentified miscreants wrapped her with rope following which the miscreants robbed her two sets of gold ornaments which is worth several lakh of rupees, cash and the bank ATM card and also took the pin code number of the ATM card from the lady teacher.

Meanwhile, the miscreants withdrew Rs 19,000 through ATM card from a ATM booth situated near Raha, sources said, adding that the local police from Morikolong outpost rushed to the spot after a while and took stock of the incident. But police was not able to nab the miscreants till the time of filing this report.
