GUWAHATI: Important announcements regarding the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) games in the city have been issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
The DCP underlined the roadmap and the steps taken to maintain a secure environment for both players and spectators during a news conference. The revelation about vehicular travel was one of the press conference's main themes.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, automobiles can go from Barsapara to Lokhra, but vehicles approaching from Lokhra will be restricted. Moreover, both the highway and AK Dev Road forbid the use of heavy vehicles. These precautions have been taken in order to guarantee a smooth flow of traffic and to prevent any undesirable situations.
Also, it was made known that some objects, including helmets, water bottles, and others, are not permitted inside the stadium. In order to protect everyone's safety and prevent any objects from being thrown into the playing field during the games, this decision has been made.
Throughout the stadium, there will be seven blocks where spectators can sit. These areas have been deliberately selected to offer the finest view of the game and to permit the use of social distancing techniques.
It is crucial to remember that all spectators must adhere to the rules established by the authorities to guarantee the security of everyone in attendance.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that these actions would take effect on April 5 and April 8. To ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing while at the games, it is essential that everyone who plans to attend, abide by these rules.
To sum up, the news conference given by the Deputy Commissioner of Police was a crucial step in assuring the safety and security of participants and spectators during the next IPL matches. A safe and enjoyable environment will be provided for everyone.
