Assam Defeats Hyderabad In Ranji Trophy, Riyan Parag Outshines

GUWAHATI : The match which was hanging with a tie until yesterday, gained a winner on December 30. Its a great news for the state of Assam as it is still in the race to lift the Ranji Trophy 2022.

The state's cricket squad has defeated Hyderabad by 18 runs. It was a four day match organised at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad. 

The shining star of the match was undoubtedly Riyan Parag who dragged Assam to win over Hyderabad. Initially, Assam was lagging behind in the first innings of the encounter. But it demonstrated a huge comeback and managed to win. 

By the end of the second innings, Assam stood out with 18 runs. Riyan Parag performed like a winner with eight fours and six sixes. His outstanding show with both bat and ball helped Assam to achieve the victory. 

Parag's superb knock of 78 runs off 28 balls emerged just when it was much needed. With this, Assam announced a target of 252 runs for Hyderabad. Furthermore, on the 28th of November, Riyan Parag defeated Jammu and Kashmir and restricted them from entering the semi finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. 

Initially there was little hope for Assam to win the round, however the tables gkt turned after the entry of Riyan Parag and Rishav Das. This is the 88th edition of Ranji Trophy, which is considered as the first-class cricket tournament in India. 

The event was flagged off on the 13th of December, and will continue till 20th of February, 2023. Parag's outstanding performance in all the matches has increased his fanbase all over. 

Now, his fans are demanding his inclusion in the Indian Cricket team. He is impressing everyone with his sharp techniques in the field of cricket.
