Mangaldai: Death of two senior citizens of the same locality here in Mangaldai town on the wee hours on Friday has deeply been mourned. Chitta Patowary (82) who retired as a Senior Factory Supervisor of Assam, breathed his last at about 2 am on Friday in a private hospital in Guwahati due to illness. He was a chess player of repute and was actively involved in the All Assam Chess Association. He was a son of prominent lawyer Bhog Ram Patowary of Mangaldai.

On the other hand, a businessman of Mangaldai town, Satish Deka (71) also breathed his last on Friday at about 3 am at his residence following prolonged illness. Significantly, both were the residents of Baruapara (Shantipur) of Mangaldai town.
