Assam: Discussion on poetry held in Nalbari

NALBARI: “‘Beej-the seed’ has inspired us to look at various aspects of society as well as literature and culture in a new way,” said Apurba Kumar Chakrabarty, renowned poet, while expressing his views during a discussion on poet Binay Kumar Mazumdar’s poetry recently at Rajendra Choudhury Bhawan, Nalbari.

The discussion was hosted by Kamal Chandra Das, Pranab Kumar Chakrabarty and Manash Jyoti Sarma, the members of ‘Beej-the seed’. Many poets like Ganesh Barman, Champak Talukdar, Hiranya Talukdar, Ritimala Bhagwati, Janki Sarma, Zeniul Aziz, Kishor Kumar Das etc. of the new generation attended the session and discussed different poems by poet Binay Kumar Mazumdar. The event was enhanced by the recitation by emerging reciters Abhilash Kashyap and Banashree Choudhury. Jesica Raaj sang a beautiful song on the occasion.
