Assam: District Development Committee meet held in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: District Development Committee meeting was held on Friday in the conference hall of DC office in Golaghat. The meeting chaired by District Commissioner Dr. P. Uday Praveen and reviewed the functioning of District Sainik Board, LDM, Labour Welfare, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Department of Sericulture, Handloom and Textiles Department, Sales Tax, Transport, Urban and Rural Planning Department, District Industries and Commerce Centre, Excise, Tourism and Fisheries Department etc.

In the meeting, the District Commissioner directed the concerned officers of each department and agency to prepare plans at the district level of their respective departments. He also directed to complete the works including implementation of the schemes within the stipulated time so that people do not face any inconvenience.

During the meeting, he discussed in detail about the schemes under each department. He stressed on creating public awareness about the schemes. District Development Commissioner Arpa Baglari, Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Magistrate Simi Karan and heads of various departments and agencies were present in the meeting.
