Assam: District Road Safety Committee meet held in Golaghat
GOLAGHAT: At the initiative of Golaghat district administration, a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was held under the chairmanship of District Commissioner Dr P Uday Prabin at the DC conference Hall on Thursday.
The meeting discussed about the steps taken by the Public Works Department for road safety and preventive measures. Precautionary signs, barricading, informed signs, repair of potholes on pucca roads and improvement of roads including Assam Mala from Dergaon to Rangajan were reviewed in details to facilitate movement of footpaths and vehicles. Also, there was a discussion on resolving the issues attached to various departments.
The meeting was attended by Golaghat Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh, Additional District Commissioner Syed Wasbir Subhani along with officials of Public Works, Health, ASEB, Assam Forest Department, Transport, Excise Department and employees of the district administration.
