Assam: Early Intervention Centre inaugurated in Dibrugarh

The Early Intervention Centre “Little Miracles Centre”, initiated by two dedicated occupational Therapists, Dr .Chinngailhing (Gracie) Haokip and Dr Jevika Phucho, was formally inaugurated by Dr Lamkholal Doungel, Associate Professor and HOD of Political Science Department, DHS Kanoi College on Thursday.

DIBRUGARH: The Early Intervention Centre “Little Miracles Centre”, initiated by two dedicated occupational Therapists, Dr .Chinngailhing (Gracie) Haokip and Dr Jevika Phucho, was formally inaugurated by Dr Lamkholal Doungel, Associate Professor and HOD of Political Science Department, DHS Kanoi College on Thursday.

The clinic is located at CR Building, Namghar Path, East Milan Nagar. Inaugurating the clinic Dr Doungel appreciated them for their enthusiasm, dedication and determination having faith in themselves to give service to humanity through their expertise and the willingness to serve.

“This venture will go a long way in catering the need for Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy, Physiotherapy, Special Education, Speech and Language Therapy etc. for children,” Dr Doungel said. Other speakers on the occasion were Joy Rev Manghaka, Haopu Doungel, Naba Mohan, and also parents of a young child who has been undergoing the therapy with the two occupational therapists.

Dr Gracie and Dr Jevika expressed their gratitude and thanked every member present in the function and fervently appealed to all to give them support and cooperation as they venture into the mission to provide services of health care for children.

Catering to conditions such as ADHD, Down syndrome, autism, and learning disabilities, the centre specializes in personalized treatments for children aged 0-15. Services encompass learning and communication development therapy, sensory integration therapy, and group therapy. The centre shall be opened from 10 am to 6 pm on all days except Sunday.
