GUWAHATI: Casting a vote is our civic duty. It is a constitutional right for a citizen in India who is over 18 years of age. Braving all odds amid coronavirus pandemic, the elderly citizens stole the show with their enthusiasm as they arrived at the polling booths in their constituencies to cast their vote in the Assam Election 2021.

It is truly inspiring to witness that several senior citizens cast their postal ballots on Saturday as voting took place for Phase 1 of Assam Assembly Elections 2021.

This time, the Election Commission and the district administrations have made special arrangements for the senior citizens by facilitating wheelchairs.
