HATSINGIMARI: In a significant move towards empowering farmers and supporting agriculture, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presided over the disbursement of the 14th instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISHAN) Scheme and the event was live-streamed across the country. Eligible farmers registered under the scheme in South Salmara Mankachar district were among the beneficiaries who received this financial aid.

The event took place in Shikar, Rajasthan, where the Prime Minister handed over the 14th instalment to deserving farmers from across the nation. Simultaneously, a live webcast of the event was organized at the office of the Jhaudanga Agricultural Development Officer and the District Agriculture Officer in South Salmara Mankachar district. This allowed the farmers in the district to witness the proceedings and receive their rightful entitlements.

Present at the district's agriculture offices were District Agriculture Officer Mainul Haque, Agriculture Development Officer Mithu Gogoi, Media Expert Hirak Jyoti Sharma, and other officials and employees from the Agriculture Department, who witnessed the event. The PM-KISHAN scheme, launched by the government, aims to provide financial assistance to eligible farming families across the country. The scheme directly transfers funds into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, thereby ensuring that they receive timely support for their agricultural activities and livelihoods. This event brought happiness to approximately 19,000 eligible farming families in South Salmara Mankachar district as they received the 14th instalment of financial assistance under the PM-KISHAN scheme.
