Assam: Former BTC chief, deputy chief visit Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital

Former chief of BTC, Hagrama Mohilary, former deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyari, former EM and now MCLA, Doneswar Goyary, along with other party leaders visited the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital on Thursday to ascertain the progress of the constructions and shortcomings to start the academic session.

KOKRAJHAR: Former chief of BTC, Hagrama Mohilary, former deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyari, former EM and now MCLA, Doneswar Goyary, along with other party leaders visited the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital on Thursday to ascertain the progress of the constructions and shortcomings to start the academic session. They also visited Kokrajhar Care Centre inside the premises of Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital. They interacted with the staff of the Medical College and Hospital and patients on various issues.

Talking to media persons, former deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyari said they visited the ongoing construction site of Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital to ascertain its progress and present status as the first academic session is to start from September. He said the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital came into being at the initiative of the BPF-led BTC government and constructions were already in progress during their tenure.

“We could not visit the Medical College for some time and so today we have visited here to oversee the overall development and its functioning,” he said, adding that the first academic session will start from September. He said they had met medical staff, patients and local people. He also said they ascertained the present staff position of the Medical College and Hospital, doctors’ strength, machineries, process of admission and other related issues. He also said the BPF will look forward to a good beginning of the academic session of Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital.
