SICHAR: Dr Chandra Mani Singha, formerly Vice-Principal of Cachar College, breathed his last after brief illness at his Silchar residence at 1:25pm on Wednesday. He was 78. He worked for 35 years at the institution as a lecturer in the Manipuri Department, where he also served as head. He was the Vice-Principal of the prestigious college at the time of his retirement in 2009. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son. Both his siblings are college teachers. Cachar College Teachers’ Council has expressed grief and conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
