JAMUGURIHAT: Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika on Saturday inaugurated the newly-constructed hospital building of the North Jamuguri BPHC in presence of an august gathering at Dhalaibil. MLA Hazarika also laid the foundation stone of a multistorey hospital building to be constructed with rupees 45 lakhs inside the hospital premises.
Addressing the session, he mentioned about various developmental schemes undertaken by the State government in the field of health sector. MLA Hazarika further informed that the 30-bedded hospital has been upgraded to 100-bedded hospital by the State government. The session was attended by SDMO Dr Rupak Barua, senior physician Dr Alima Nath, Pallabita Sarma Mahanta, chairman of Jamuguri Town Committee, Ajit Payeng, president of Naduar Anchalik Panchayat, Kishor Dahal, ZPC member, Dilip Senapati, panchayat president along with the officials from the health department and the PWD department.
