Assam: Foundation stone of Khatu Shyam Baba temple laid in Barpeta

DHUBRI: The foundation stone of the temple of Khatu Shyam Baba was laid in the presence of hundreds of devotees at a function held at Jyoti Nagar, Barpeta Road on Thursday. This is the first temple of Shyam Baba, the father of Kali Yuga in Southern Assam. The event was attended by BTR Executive Member, Gautam Das, VCDC, President, Shyam Sarkar, Barpeta Road Greater Traders Association President, Dhiraj Deuri, prominent businessmen Radha Krishan Chowdhury, Balram Chowdhury, Shiv Ratan Shyam Sundar Rathi, senior media person, Alok Bayon and many other social workers and prominent businessmen of the town.

All the members of the Saravati Devi Charitable Trust who donated land for the construction of the temple were also present. Shree Shyam Pariwar Sew Trust expressed gratitude to the members of Saravati Devi Charitable Trust for their generous act of kindness by donating the land for the temple of Khatu Shyam Baba.
