Assam: Four Killed, Two Injured in Digboi Road Accident

GUWAHATI: Four persons perished and two others were critically injured in a horrific traffic accident in Assam's Digboi. The tragedy happened about midnight in the Golai region when the vehicle slammed into a tree near the Golai Terminal.

According to reports, three men and two women were on board when the vehicle struck a tree, according to reports. During the sad incident, a woman, the driver of the vehicle, and another person were killed on the scene. Two more people were critically hurt and were taken to a hospital in Dibrugarh in critical condition.

Amrit Dutta of Jagun, Disha Gupe and Subhash Gupe of Lidu Bazar have been identified as the deceased. Sadhna Gupe, on the other hand, died while undergoing treatment in Dibrugarh.

Meanwhile, one of the injured guys, Ratan Gupe, is being treated in Dibrugarh. The catastrophe happened in the middle of the night as they were driving home from a wedding celebration.

On the other hand, in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus in Assam's Nagaon district, one person was killed and at least 19 others were injured. On Thursday night, the event was reported in Hatbor, near Kaliabor town.

Unfortunately, the truck driver was killed on the spot as a result of the collision. According to sources, the bus was on its way to Golaghat from Guwahati city when the accident occurred.

Soon later, local police arrived on the scene to assess the situation. The injured people were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Last month, at least 11 people sustained injuries in a catastrophic road accident in Assam's Raha district.

According to preliminary accounts, the accident was caused by a collision between a brand new Hyundai Verna and an auto-rickshaw. According to witnesses, the auto-rickshaw was attempting to cross the four-lane road when the Verna collided with it. The event occurred on the national highway near Saragaon in Raha, Nagaon district, Assam.
