Assam: Free training camp for Mathematics Olympiad from July 20

KOKRAJHAR: The Assam Academy of Mathematics, Kokrajhar branch, in association with Kokrajhar Government College, has fixed to organize a training camp for Mathematics Olympiad competitors from July 20 to July 31 every day at 11 am for categories 1 and 2 (from class-V to class-VIII) and 1 pm for category 3 (from class IX to XI) at Kokrajhar Government College. This was informed by Prof. Sibu Basak, Chief Coordinator of Assam Academy of Mathematics, Kokrajhar Branch. He said all participants who have filled up the form for joining the competition by depositing Rs 150 can participate in the training camp.

Basak said the inauguration of training camp will be held on July 20 at Kokrajhar Government College. He also said certificates will be awarded by the Assam Academy of Mathematics, Kokrajhar branch, to those who will get first three positions in each category among the participants from Kokrajhar centre in State-level Mathematics Olympiad competitions along with the participants who will get 60% or above marks in the competition. If the participants can achieve satisfactory position among participants of Assam, they will be awarded certificate and prize by the central committee of the Assam Academy of mathematics and will be selected to participate in next higher level of the competition of Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) which will be held throughout India in some selected parts of India.
