Assam: Golaghat Book Fair from November 29 to December 6

GOLAGHAT: Preparations are going on in full swing to observe the ‘Golaghat Book Fair and Literary Festival-2023’. On Monday, an awareness rally was carried through out the Golaghat town on the event of Golaghat Book Fair which will be held from November 29 to December 6 at Samannayshetra in Golaghat town.

In this regard a press meet was called by the organiser of book fare on Monday. Organising secretary Diganta Kumar Bhuyan said that the book fair is going be held with the support of All Assam Book Publishers and Sellers Association, Golaghat District Administration, various groups and organizations and people under the initiative of Pachim Golaghat Xakha Sahitya Sabha.

At the inauguration ceremony of Golaghat Book Fair on November 29, five thousand students of the educational institution will perform the song ‘Puhar Bisari Jao’ sung by Paragdhar Chaliha. Special arrangements have also been made for the exhibition of the Braille edition. Similarly the bio-refinery model of Numaligarh refinery can be studied by the students in the book fair.

Book publishers from Assam as well as outside states like Kolkata, Delhi and Haryana have confirmed their participation. The Pachim Golaghat Shakha Sahitya Sabha, an organiser, has sought the presence and co-operation of the people of Assam.
