Assam: Golden jubilee of Dupani High School celebrated

DEMOW: The Dupani High School was established in the year 1972 and the golden jubilee celebration of the school was held on Tuesday. Under the patronage of the Dupani High School authority, retired teachers, alumni and well-wishers, the golden jubilee celebration was organized in the school on Tuesday. As per the schedule, the programme started with cleanliness drive which was followed by lighting of ceremonial lamp by Jagat Chandra Gogoi, founder Headmaster of Dupani High School. The sapling plantation was done by Forest Man Padma Shri Jadab Payeng. Robin Borgohain, working president of the organizing committee of the golden jubilee hoisted the golden jubilee flag. A total of 50 flags were hoisted on the occasion. The smriti tarpan was offered by Kamal Jyoti Saikia, secretary of the organizing committee, and Lakhya Gogoi, retired Headmaster of Dupani High School. Rajani Kanta Dutta, former Padhadhikar of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, presided over the open session.
