Assam: Government to Construct Kamakhya Temple in Maharashtra

GUWAHATI: In a significant development, the Assam government, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has unveiled plans to build a Kamakhya Temple in the state of Maharashtra. This announcement comes after a positive response from Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who extended his support for the ambitious project. "When Eknath Shinde came to Assam, I proposed building a Kamakhya Temple and also a Namghar in Maharashtra," CM Sarma stated, adding that Shinde readily accepted the proposal and invited him to Mumbai for in-depth discussions.
