Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi visits TMCH, LGBRIMH

Tezpur: Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi along with the First Lady of Assam, Prem Mukhi visited Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) at Tumuki, Bihaguri in Sonitpur district and discussed with the Principal-cum-Superintendent of TMCH, Dr. Rajen Kalita and senior doctors and inspected the present status of the college and its activities.

The Governor also visited the toilets and washrooms and inspected the facilities provided to patients. The Governor also visited LGBRIMH and discussed with the Director, S K Deori and interacted with medical officers and inmates of the hospital. Along with the officers, the Governor toured the wards and office complex of the health facility. While expressing satisfaction over the hygiene maintained in the hospital campus, he assured the authorities to provide more assistance in the coming days.

The Governor suggested keeping the inmates engaged through skill development programmes and hobbies.

Earlier, the Governor visited Tezpur Kanaklata Civil Hospital and discussed with the Superintendent of KCH, Dr. Rini Duwara and took stock of the hygiene and cleanliness.
