The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is still looking into the circumstances surrounding Morikolong Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha's death. The official's family has already urged that a thorough investigation be conducted into his death.

It should be noted that Junmoni Rabha, an Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) who was involved in a number of issues, died in a car accident at Kaliabor in the Nagaon district of Assam.

On June 22, according to reports, the CBI has taken over the investigation of four separate cases from the Assam Police that are all related to the death of the state police sub-inspector Junmoni Rabha last month in a possible traffic accident. According to sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation has questioned individuals and spoke with the medical professionals who performed Rabha's autopsy.

The CBI has also taken over two additional cases, including one brought against Rabha by a relative of those being investigated in the fake currency probe, who claimed that Rabha raided her home on May 6 at 2 am and demanded more than Rs 6 lakh from her after captivating her son.

This case stems from a fake currency racket that was busted by Nagaon Police on May 5 on the information of Rabha.
