Guwahati: In a bid to develop skills among the youths of the state, the Assam government signed four Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with Walmart, Flipkart, and HCL here in Guwahati on Thursday.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, State's skill development employment & entrepreneurship minister Jayanta Mallabaruah said,'' For capacity building of MSMEs and to create a new path of prosperity in Assam, exchanged four MoUs in a prestigious event at Assam Skill Development Mission, Garchuk, Guwahati.''
This Tripartite MoU has been exchanged for the development of MSMEs in terms of showcasing and exporting their products, exchanging ideas for successful commercialization, and providing them the market access.
The MoU signed with Flipkart with Assam Skill Development Mission will provide opportunities to youth in the Flipkart Supply Chain Operations Academy by training, certifying, and creating a pool of e-commerce supply chain talent.
On the other hand, the state government signed another MoU with an aim to facilitate the recruitment of aspirants to join HCL-TSS skilling and employment programs and provide mutual support in providing space for counselling and conducting an assessment of eligible candidates on the University campus.
The objective of the collaboration is to increase the employability of youths in Assam under various programmes conducted by HCL benefitting class XII passed candidates.
