UDALGURI: The Harisinga HS School unit of NSS (National Service Scheme) has planted saplings at village Kochpara organizing a week-long camp.

The HS first-year school students as volunteers of NSS studied the villagers’ livelihood, their resources and problems. The organization also organized a public meeting to make people aware about the works and functions of NSS. The meeting was chaired by Khudiram Sangma and introduction of the guests were given by NSS Programme Officer Joseph S. Soren and Mogendra Boro.

Pinuel Basumatari, the retired Principal Accountant General, Prity Sangma Basumatari, senior teacher Krishna Kanta Mizar and writer Baidyanath Upadhyaya were present on that occasion. During the programme, the NSS volunteer students showed their enthusiasm in social service.
