DOOMDOOMA: A free ayurvedic health check-up camp was held at Marwari Panchayati Bhawan, Doomdooma on Friday on the occasion of 8th Ayurveda Day and Dhantari Jayanti. The camp which was held here for the first time was attended by hundreds of patients who underwent free check-ups and were distributed large amount of free ayurvedic medicines.
The camp was inaugurated by Joint Director (Health), Tinsukia District Dr Jayant Bhattacharya. The event was attended by Senior citizen Arjun Barua, Principal, Bir Raghav Moran Government Model (BRMGM) college Principal Dr Amarjit Shaikia, SBI Doomdooma Branch Chief Manager Shiv Shankar Chouhan, Senior Doctor of Tinsukia Dr Rameshwarlal Agarwal and In-charge of Doomdooma 30 Bedded FRU Dr Ashma Ghazanvi. Each of them lit the ceremonial lamps one each while president, Marwari Sammelan Mahavir Modi, Executive President Dinesh Goel and President Marwari Yuva Manch Rohit Agarwal collectively lit the lamp.
The inaugural meeting was attended by Dr. Amarjit Saikia, Principal BRMGM college, leading citizen Arjun Barua, Chief Medical & Health Officer, Margherita Sub-Division Dr. Sachin Barman.
With active co-operation of several nurses and health workers, the camp was successfully organized and conducted by Dr. Tikendra Nath Sharma, Senior Doctor, Kakpathar Primary Health Centre, Dinesh Goel, Executive President, Marwari Sammelan and Rohit Agarwal, President, Marwari Yuva Manch.
