DUDHNOI: State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta visited the site of the second Ayurvedic College in Assam to be built in Dudhnoi on Wednesday. The minister also visited the Ayurvedic Hospital where construction work has already been completed, at Udaipur in Dudhnoi.

The minister reached Dudhnoi and visited the hospital and visited 156 bighas of land reserved for setting up the Ayurvedic College and also held discussions with departmental officials. The minister informed that the Dudhnoi Ayurvedic Hospital would be upgraded to a medical college soon. He said that recruitment process for Ayurvedic Hospital would also start soon. On December 23, 2017, the then Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Ayurvedic Hospital at Udaipur in Dudhnoi. Keshab Mahanta said that the hospital, which has already been completed, had been handed over to the Goalpara district administration.
