GUWAHATI: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) class 12 final examinations will take place in July-August.
A letter from the AHSEC Controller of Examinations Pankaj Borthakur stated that all the in-charges of examination centers across the state have been asked to scout for more venues to maintain COVID-19 protocols while holding the tests.
"It is for your kind information that Assam Higher Secondary Education Council is going to conduct Higher Secondary Final Examinations, 21 in the month of July/August, 2021," he said in the letter.
Borthakur further asked the in-charge of the examination centres, that have more than 400 candidates, to take any nearby government or provincialised academic institutions as venues to maintain COVID-19 protocols.
Earlier, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has advised all examination centre in-charges who have more than 400 candidates to take any nearby government/provincialized academic institution as venue for the higher secondary (HS) final examination to maintain the COVID protocols. The examinations were scheduled to be held from May 11 across 792 examination centres. However, due to the COVID situation, the examinations were postponed. This year, 2,49,399 candidates will appear in examinations from Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Last year as many as 2,34,809 students appeared in the exam.
