HOWRAGHAT:  In an innovative show of reliance and unity, thousands of Catholic believers of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, and Dima Hasao joined the Annual Eucharistic Procession organized by the Diphu Catholic Diocese at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School playground of Diphu town on Sunday. This avant-garde occasion was shaped to demonstrate the community’s obligation to spread their faith in Lord Jesus, above all to highlight His presence in the Holy Eucharist.

The procession began after the morning Holy Mass supervised by Bishop Rt. Rev. Paul Mattekatt of Diphu Diocese. Fr. John Timung, the vicar general of Diphu Diocese, and Fr. Joseph Teron, vice provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco Province, Guwahati and others were present.

After the spiritual union, the blessed reparation was incensed before being placed inside the monstrance. With the Blessed Sacrament in a decorated vehicle, the parade alongside a cross bearer and flower girls progressed.

The procession beginning from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School playground, covered Taralangso entrance gate Rongjangphong Sari Ali , Dhanu Basti and Rongkhelan, the pageant culminated at the school ground. All through the journey, the ambiance reverberated with the musical vibe of the holy Sacrament and Mother Mary.
