GUWAHATI: The Assam government is likely to announce cash awards for the students who have got distinctions and star marks in the recently held HSLC/ AHM exam, 2022.
In an official letter received from the secretary of the Board Of Secondary Education (SEBA) N. N. Nath (ACS), it has been noted that the state government is going to issue a notification regarding dispensing cash as awards for the distinction and star marks carried students in the recently held HSLC/ AHM examinations, 2022.
The official letter of the secretary was released on 13th July 2022 and mentions that in order to expedite the award process, the SEBA board has decided to collect the details of the student's bank accounts so that as soon as the government declares a policy the benefit would be extended quickly. For the process to be accessed, a portal is said to have been opened up on the SEBA website from today, 11 AM to 5 PM of 30/ 7/2022.
In the portal, a list of eligible students is said to be pre-populated. The processes of the policy are mentioned below. It has also been directed to all the heads of the institutions and the school inspectors to direct students to keep their bank accounts technically transactable by consulting with their respective banks so that the bank accounts do not face any such technical errors while receiving the awards as at times the bank accounts are unable to function or receive amounts due to low money transact limits or non-withdrawal, non-linking of the accounts and previously also the bank accounts were unable to receive the transact.
1. Eligible students need to visit the official website of SEBA https://smbform.in/SEBA_HSLC/ and click on the link Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme (ARBAS 2022), Application for Cash Award', and go through the instructions therein.
2. Students should fill in Roll, Number and Date of Birth according to the Admit Card issued at the time of HSLC/AHM Examination, 2022. Only eligible candidates, that is, students who have secured Distinction/Star marks will be able to log in. Students will have to provide a Bank Account number along with IFS Code after
3. Students will have to provide a Bank Account exactly in his/her name along with the IFSC code after they log in. A bank account in any other name or identity will not be accepted.
4. Take a printout of the Acknowledgement Receipt and keep it in safe custody. It had been noticed during previous years that many bank accounts remain inactive due to a lack of recent transactions.
Also, some accounts have transaction limits enabled. In such cases, It might not be technically possible to transfer the cash ward. Hence, the students may be advised to take precautionary measures with their respective bank regarding this.
