NALBARI: The Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) Nalbari district committee on Tuesday burned the portrait of the State Energy Minister in protest against the government's plan to hike electricity tariffs against the people of the State. The union's district committee president Nirod Das and joint secretary Jogesh Kalita, central executive Monoram Kalita, district advisors Gautam Kumar Sharma and Parthapratim Sharma were present They shouted various slogans against the electricity department. The union called on the State government to cancel these anti-people policies and provide relief to the people.
