Assam: Leprosy irradication drive conducted in Kamrup Metropolitan district

GUWAHATI: A drive to identify and spread awareness regarding leprosy will be conducted from October 30 to November 12 in the Kamrup Metropolitan district along with the rest of the State.

A statement issued by the authorities pointed out that 90 % to 95% of the citizens of the district will be covered under this drive and under the initiative of the District Leprosy Cell, healthcare workers will go from door to door to check for symptoms of the illness and take necessary tests. The district administration has asked the citizens to cooperate with the healthcare workers.
