GUWAHATI: Villagers in Malki arrested a labourer from Barpeta, Assam, on Wednesday night for allegedly sexually assaulting three girls, including two children. Inamul Haque has been named as the defendant (25). 

According to sources, a contractor hired Haque to fix the internal roads in Malki. According to a relative of one of the girls, the accused attempted to molest the girls as they were walking past. The girl's relative claims that the girls fled home to tell their family members about the accused's alleged attempts to molest them out of fear. 

The event was reported by the family to the local Malki Lum Balang Dorbar Shnong members. Thereafter, he was delivered to the Laitumkhrah police station. According to the police, they have already filed a case under several sections of the POCSO Act of 2012 against the labourer from Assam.

A woman cuts off a man’s genital when he allegedly tried to rape her. The incident has been reported from Assam’s Batadrava, on 1st of March, Wednesday. As an act of self defence, the woman cuts off the man’s genital with a sharp edged object which was hidden under her bed.

As per the reports, the accused lived next door to the woman. On the night of 1st March, the culprit entered into her house and attempted to physically molest her. While interacting with the media, the woman informed that the accused has a history of sexually abusing other women as well. 

Furthermore, she mentioned that his family members threatened her to not report the matter to the police.
