Assam: Man Arrested By Chandmari Police For Mentally Harassing Deeplina Deka

GUWAHATI: Police have arrested a man for allegedly mentally harassing singer Deeplina Deka. The man was arrested by the Chandmari police station at night. The man has been accused of mentally harassing Diplina Deka. The arrested youth is Mridul Kumar Nath of Guwahati. Deeplina Deka has been allegedly harassed by the youth for the past month.

According to Deeplina Deka, Mridul Kumar Nath was contacted for a month. Everything was normal in the first place. Because such calls keep coming. The man had been calling people from Diplina's management and talking about meeting Deeplina. Deeplina, who is usually out of the house for work, asked the man to call her while she was at home.

Deeplina told the media that One day, the man called and got into a fight with Kamal of her management and used abusive words against them. And just after that incident Deeplina's father called her and said that a man had come to their house. Later, the singer came to know that it was the same man who had a fight in the office.

"That's how people come and go to our house," said Deeplina. My mother also loves when fans come to our house. I like it too. It's okay for him to come, he sat in our house for 2-3 hours. We know the etiquette, we can't tell anyone that you go out. My parents are old, they live alone, that's the fear in my mind. He sat for three hours and left. Later I found out that he keeps calling me. ''

"I sometimes don't receive calls with unknown numbers. The most surprising thing is that he keeps texting me. The message at 3-4 p.m. And I can't tell the messages to the public, they do different kinds of messages. He said we have known each other for two years," said Deeplina.

Deeplina also added, "I approached the police because today the final stage has reached. It was the third time that the man came to our house today. The man was talking to himself. That's why my mother got scared. The man came and left my house at 5.30 or 6 am. We were all sleeping and the calling bell was ringing. I didn't wake up because I was late at night so my mother got up. My mother came and said that the same man had come. I asked my mother to tell him to go home but he was behaving in a strange way. The dress he was wearing was also weird."

"The man came home again in the evening. He came and said I won't go until she comes. I will sit for three days. He threw away his Purse and phone. My parents were calling me asking me what to do now. I then contacted the Chandmari police station. And the police came to our house and arrested the man. I have filed an FIR as well as we are suffering from insecurity. People's behaviors are strange nowadays, they laugh and speak abusive things but now a police investigation will go on," The singer told the media.
